Thank you! I’m excited for awards season and campaigns and keeping my eye on the discussions around it. It’s really cool to see the show get some good post-season buzz too, hopefully they can carry that momentum!

Thank you for your amazing work in collecting all the news! You are wonderful! I’m going to miss your blog. Thanks again! :)
Thank you anon! You have a wonderful day ♥
I just wanted to take this opportunity to extend a million thank yous to anyone who was involved with running this blog and updating us with ACS information. You became my absolute BIBLE for this season and I think I would have felt very lost without you so yeah, THANK YOU SO MUCH :)
You’re welcome! It’s been a pleasure sharing this journey with everyone, and ACS Versace has been an incredible show to follow. I do feel a little sad that there’s an expiration date on this blog, but we still have a couple of awards seasons! I’ll be sticking around; my main is @mintysmoothie if anyone wants to chat me up. I don’t blog all that much but I’m trying to be more active in fandom haha. I also have something interesting that should be up in a week or so.
Also a shoutout to @musexmoirai for her encyclopedic knowledge on the case and who’s been a great help in running this blog!
Do we already know who will be eligible for Emmy nominations? I think I’ve read somewhere that supporting actors need at least 15% screen time, so that will be very close for a lot of actors. Also, do we know who will count as main vs supporting actor? (Guess Edgar is the only one who could be both?).
I think most if not all the actors on the panel at last night’s FYC event are eligible (plus Penelope and Finn). To be eligible for supporting, actors need at least 5% of the screentime which for ACS is ~25 minutes. The ones that are on the cusp are Judith, Jon Jon, and Max, and we’ve already received confirmation Judith’s eligible and FX is planning a big push. I assume the other two can also submit given their presence on the panel, as opposed to Mike Farrell who wasn’t on the panel but attended the event anyway.
The Gold Derby predictions center has Edgar and Penelope for supporting, though this early in the game some of the placements are guesses by the GD editors. If they were able to get early confirmation for Judith they could’ve also gotten confirmation for Edgar and Penelope which categories they would submit. It wouldn’t make sense for Edgar to submit for lead anyway because 1) despite being promoted as part of the main cast he’s had less screentime than other supporting actors like Cody or Finn and 2) Darren is a strong contender in lead and wouldn’t benefit from vote splitting. Penelope could go lead if they wanted to make way for Judith in supporting though.
I am so proud of Matt after this episode!! He did such a fantastic job.. especially considering it was his first time directing!!!
I agree, Matt did wonderfully! I’m impressed to read that he didn’t want to just only work with the actors, but wanted to be involved in all of the processes of production. You can tell he’s passionate about his work. I enjoyed his episode a lot and I hope this means he gets more directing opportunities! (and some recognition, hey Television Academy??)
Could you please tag your blog entries about future episodes with ACS Versace spoilers, ACS spoilers, or something like that? I want to be spoiler free before watching an episode, but join in after the episode has viewed. Otherwise, I will need to unfollow you.
Sure! I think everyone has their own personal threshold of what counts as history vs spoilers, so for reference I’ll tag anything that hasn’t appeared in an episode yet with “acs spoilers”. I won’t have time to screen long podcasts though, so as a heads up critics sometimes make allusions to future episodes/events. Hope this helps in any case!
I haven’t had a chance to see all of the article you have posted about Episode 1. So forgive if you have already posted it, but have you seen Vulture’s article that is fact checking the episode?
Yup, you can find it here! https://acsversace-news.tumblr.com/post/169853958524/the-assassination-of-gianni-versace-fact-checking
And if you want all the articles from episode 1 you can check here: https://acsversace-news.tumblr.com/tagged/2.01
There’s a dozen fact checking articles out there now, but I’ll be posting the ones from Vulture because I think they do a pretty good job.
stopandimaginelove: The first episode is 54 minutes long. FX is simply running the episode twice, one right after the other. It’s the same episode – ACS Season 2, episode 1 “The Man Who Would Be Vogue”.
Correct, the episode is actually going to be aired 4 times in a row that night. The FX website schedule has the premiere at 90 minutes, then 3 reruns at 60 minutes. The TV Guide listings has 4 airings at 75 minutes each. I am more inclined to believe they’ll fit a 54 min episode in a 75 min block rather than 90 though, so hopefully this discrepancy gets sorted out.
Hi there! do you think there is any possibility that the last ep is two hours? Over the past few months, I’ve seen some of the cast/creator (Darren and Ryan) refer to it as ten episodes, but we know that they are airing nine. Any thoughts?
I think they just misspoke, but FX isn’t shy about letting their episodes run long either and I would also bet on an extended finale. Most People vs OJ episodes aired in a 1 hour block, but the premiere and finale were extended episodes and aired in a 1½ hour block.
This screener reaction for ACS Versace confirmed that episode 8 is the only one that runs over 1 hour so far. I think episode 9 will also run long, but probably for a 1½ hour block instead of 2.
klaineownsmysoul: That’s Michael Nouri. You might know him from “Flashdance.”
justcrissandpratt: that’s Michael Nouri
Thank you both! Here’s the bts pictures of him and Darren filming that anon was talking about X, X

And again in the trailer

And with that folks, I bid you all good night. Will post more in the morning!
